Optimum Metrology offers a unique blend of traditional manufacturing expertise with leading edge technology. We specialize in precision measurement to support the production of parts and tools across aerospace, transportation and defense industries. We handle each project with the highest level of quality and care.Chris Cox is the founder and CEO of Optimum Metrology, having more than 16 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He is a dedicated and highly effective Certified Metrologist who has held various levels of responsibility in quality, design and manufacturing. Additionally, Chris holds certifications in several software platforms including, Catia V5, Verisurf, Polyworks, Siemens NX, and Solidworks.
Chris began his career as an apprentice at a 3D measurement consulting firm where he quickly excelled and developed extensive hands on experience in advanced techniques in reverse engineering of complex shaped parts, legacy aerospace tooling, complex assemblies, and form molds.
During the launch of Virgin Hyperloop One, Chris was sought to build a metrology team for the development of the world’s first Hyperloop project in Las Vegas, Nevada. During construction of Virgin Hyperloop One’s test track Chris held an instrumental role in quality control and alignment of the Hyperloop which contributed to a successful test run May 2017.
Chris founded Optimum Metrology to advance innovation in the metrology field and partner with businesses to bring visions and designs to life.
